Our big boy lost his first tooth today. Andrew was in the basement watching TV when I heard him start crying. I asked him what was wrong and he said "come here and I will show you" in his poutiest voice. I went downstairs and the tears started FLOWING. Through tears and gasping for air he managed to tell me that he thought he had food in his teeth, so he went to pull it out but his tooth came out! It freaked him out, so he threw it on the floor and called for me. He wanted the new one to grow back IMMEDIATELY and he cried (hysterically) for a good 45 minutes. I was laughing so hard.... you just have to know Andrew to be able to picture his reaction. It was just how I thought it would be..... pure drama. He wouldn't eat dinner because he didn't know how he could with a missing tooth. Then, when it came time to brush teeth, he got really nervous again but I told him I would go around it. I still laugh when I think about his reaction. That kid does not handle ANY TYPE of change very well.

That is too funny! I dread the first tooth...only because I think it's gross!! I hope Charlie's happens just like that - comes out on it's own!! I'm glad Andrew recovered...oh, and I love your reaction too! Just exactly what I would be doing - laughing!
Well I can imagine being freaked out if I was Andrew. Did he know that you are supposed to lose your baby teeth? I would have been laughing too. But you have to think you would be freaked out if you thought you had food in yoru mouth and out came your tooth!!!
