On Tuesday, the doctor said Timothy was breathing well and nursing well so he got to come back to the room with us. FINALLY! Here are some pictures of us enjoying our little man. He is so sweet! We came home on Thursday and the boys have enjoyed kissing him and holding him. We are so happy to be home with all our boys.
More Timothy
These pictures are a little out of order. At 7:30 Monday night, I forced myself out of bed so I could go see Timmy. We couldn't hold him, but I felt better knowing I could at least SEE him. We didn't stay long, I was getting a little nausea from sitting up. We tried to get some sleep Monday night but I had no such luck! I was hooked up to leg boots that squeezed my legs every minute to prevent blood clots, I had a catheter in, I had my IV in my arm, something for my pulse on my finger and oxygen in my nose. Let's just say I was a little uncomfortable! At 4 am, I HAD to see Timothy. I couldn't stop thinking about him all night. To our surprise, when we headed in there at 4:30 am, Timmy was off oxygen and breathing well on his own. I finally got to hold my baby!
Timothy Isaac Fischer
On October 19, 2009 we headed to the hospital to meet our 3rd little boy, Timothy. We got there at 10:00 in the morning and to our surprise, everything was running on time. I headed to the operating room around noon to get my spinal and start to prepare for the surgery. I remember laying on the table, looking at the clock and it was 12:20 and they were starting the surgery. At 12:29, our little man made his entrance to the world. He started crying immediately but was full of fluid (you could hear it in his voice). They took him to clean him up and he started turning a little blue. They were smacking him and had to use a vacuum to suck some fluid out, but finally he started breathing better. Rick got to hold him and came to sit next to me while they finished me up. I got to see Timothy, but the nurses noticed that he was still a little blue and was still struggling to breathe. Just as they finished my surgery and dropped the curtain, they told me that Timothy had to go to the nursery to be monitored. They put him in my arms (while I was still on the operating table) took a picture, I kissed him and they took him from me. I went to recovery by myself because I needed Rick to be with Timothy. Timothy very quickly was admitted to special care because he needed oxygen, he was not able to breathe well on his own. When I left recovery, they wheeled my bed into the nursery so I could see him again for a few seconds, and then I went to my room. It was so hard to go so long without him!
Here I am... 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant, ready to meet my little man!
Here he is, being lifted out of my stomach
Tiny Tim! He was 7 lbs 12 ounces. Just for comparison, Matthew was 10 lbs 1 ounce at 38 weeks. So, Matthew was 2 lbs. 5 ounces bigger and only born a handful of days later. That is a significant difference, even given gestational age!
Here is my doctor, Dr. Walsh. I absolutely love her! This picture was taken right before Timothy was taken to the nursery (see how he looks a little blue?)
This was the first time I got to see Timothy off the operating table... hooked up to all his little machines.

Our week....
Well, this hasn't been the best week at the Fischer house, but I guess it also isn't the worst it has ever been either! So, Tuesday night, Rick picks Matthew up by his arm and pops his elbow out of socket. We didn't know that at the time, we just had a 2 year old that couldn't quit screaming or shaking and was holding his arm and couldn't move it. After about an hour and no improvement.... Rick had to take him to the hospital. During the exam by the doctor, Matthew was still screaming hysterically, but after he left, Matthew seemed to be OK and was getting back to normal. The doctor came back in and said that during the exam, he noticed his elbow was out and popped it back in, which is why Matthew was so happy a few minutes later. Note to self: don't pick your (fat) kids up by the arm, you will pop something out and the screaming is NOT FUN.
Wednesday afternoon, we go to the doctor for little Timmy. I am still contracting quite a bit and find out that I am dilated 1 cm. The doctor doesn't think I can make it to the 26th (my original scheduled c-section) so I get moved up to the 19th. It is very dangerous and risky to have had 2 prior C-sections and go into labor, you take the chance of rupturing. So, my doctor felt this was safest for me and Timmy. We were so excited he is coming until.....
Thursday afternoon Andrew's school calls me. He has a fever of 101. I pick him up and go straight to the doctor. Yes, we now have the swine flu, just a few days before we have a baby and with a 9 month pregnant woman! Today (Friday) Matthew is starting to show signs of it too, but has not spiked a fever.
So, time will tell what happens between now and Monday. I am on Tamiflu, trying to prevent it from making me sick. Andrew is on it, Matthew will be on it shortly, so we just need to keep Rick healthy. We are hoping and praying we are healthy and my house is clean and disinfected before Timmy comes home next Thursday!

Last game of the season!
Andrew just wrapped up another season of baseball. He had a wonderful experience playing fall ball. He got along really well with the kids and he had an AWESOME coach. Coach Mike did a great job building him up and encouraging him. Andrew improved so much through the season and I know it is from the support he got from his coach. Andrew has already said he wants to play ball again in the spring, so it looks like we will be doing this baseball thing for awhile!!!

Just another day...
While I was folding laundry in my room, I thought the boys were playing nicely in Matthew's room. Andrew comes in my room and says, "matthew is sitting on his dresser." Well, I was more concerned about getting the laundry done so I just said "OK" and left it at that. I have my priorities straight!!!! So, a few minutes later I walk out of my room to put some clothes away and I see Andrew leaping through the air. They got the brilliant idea to climb up the dresser and jump off to the bed. I of course had to get this one on video! Here it is....

Huber Farm
We decided to go to Huber Farm on Sunday. It was a last minute decision.... we knew we wanted to go at some point, but our weekends are pretty full and then we have Timothy coming in a few weeks. We decided to go while the weather was nice and we had an afternoon free. The boys LOVED IT. Andrew ran around saying "yahoo" and "yippee". He just couldn't keep it in. We asked him what his favorite part was and he said "all of it!" We had a lot of fun picking out our pumpkins. As an added treat, we got to see a little boy drop his pants and pee in the pumpkin patch. We made sure not to pick that pumpkin. So, we picked the biggest pumpkin we could find and we will be carving them soon. It was a great day at the farm! We have the Zoo Halloween party and another Halloween party with friends to look forward to this weekend! So many fun things to do this time of year!
Andrew took this picture... didn't he do a great job?!?!

WHOA- can't believe I am posting this!
We made it to 35 weeks (and this is not the most flattering picture!) I am still contracting and feeling a lot of pressure, but I have had 3 big boys grow in that belly. I guess this is just the way life is with 3 pregnancies! I am so ready for him to come out. UNCOMFORTABLE can't even describe what I feel most days. I go to the doctor tomorrow so hopefully we will find out if I am progressing or not. As much as I want to go early, I really don't want to go before 37 weeks. Having a preemie in flu season doesn't sound like much fun to me!
Only 25 days to go.... and lots of fun activities planned for October. We have something to do every weekend until the first week in November and I would hate to miss out on that fun if he came early.
