Birthday Party!

Today we celebrated Andrew and Matthew's birthday! We decided to do a joint party since they have the same friends and their birthdays are close together. It was great! We rented a bouncer for the kids and had our family and the boys' close friends over to play. The boys were showered with wonderful presents. We are lucky to have a close family and wonderful friends to celebrate with. It was a great day... a little chaotic at times, but overall just a great day!
Here is the monster truck bouncer... oh my, they loved it!
Testing it out before their friends came. Andrew asked me about 300 times when his friends were coming over. Then, he had to make sure OVER AND OVER again that Lucy was coming.
Their cake... of course, monster truck. They loved it.
The birthday boys
Each of the families represented in this picture have been so important to our family and Andrew and Matthew. We have wonderful friends... we are so blessed!
My handsome Andrew with his monster basketball game.
And my precious little Matthew (doing his famous smile) with Mack.
(Seriously, Grandma, how can you not love that smile in pictures????????)
Here are the boys with their cake.... it was very yummy!

Pregnant

Well, as everyone now knows, Rick and I are expecting our third child. Our official due date is November 6, however, this baby will be scheduled for late October just before Halloween. Both of our boys were very large, so I am one of those lucky women that get to deliver at 38 weeks! However, this one does not seem to be growing like the other two... I am not as big as I was with the boys, but I guess at this point there is so much room in there it will be awhile before I really show. You know what they say.... with the first one, you can't wait to wear maternity clothes, with the second one you try so hard to stay in your normal clothes for as long as possible, and with the third your maternity clothes are your normal clothes. I guess that is why I am not looking too pregnant just yet! This picture was taken just before 16 weeks.

Florida

We had a wonderful time in Destin, Florida! The boys enjoyed the beach to the fullest this year and had so much running around the beach and digging in the sand. It was not crowded at all, so the boys were able to run around and basically do whatever they wanted. It was like having our own private beach and pool! Andrew was still unsure of the ocean, but got closer this year than last. Matthew was afraid to go put his feet in by himself, but would let one of us take him in. It was a great trip, but we are all worn out and glad to be home!
On our way to the beach for the first time this year....
Matthew was showing me the water
No matter how many times we said "don't throw sand" they did it anyways! Good thing there was no one around us... we finally just gave up and let them throw as much sand as they wanted and run up and down the beach.
Jumping waves in the ocean
Andrew went to rinse his hands and got a little surprised by this big wave!
Fun in the sand
Andrew thought it was pretty cool he could write in the sand
On Mother's Day we went to play mini golf. The boys had a lot of fun but it was a hot day and we were ready for the pool when we finished!

They had this train and some other rides at the golf place. Of course, the boys would not leave without riding it!!!!

These boys couldn't get enough of the sand.... it was like one giant sandbox to them!

This is one of the many holes they dug... then Rick would fill it with water. They had a blast playing in this!

All smiles on the beach
Andrew is buried in a hole! Andrew and Matthew put their shovels to good use... their favorite thing to do was dig holes in the sand and then climb in them.
After dinner we went for a walk on the dock, and one of the guys had just caught this shark. Yuck!

Here we are on the Okaloosa Island Pier. I had a heart attack watching my boys run around out there! I was so afraid they were going to fall!
This made me really nervous... leaning over the edge to look down into the ocean!
Do they get anymore handsome than this?
