Prayer Requests...

With our upcoming trip to China, we would ask you to pray for these things:

*For God to prepare Emma Grace's heart for the changes she is about to have... we have prepared for this moment since June 2009, but she has no clue.

*For the SAFETY and HEALTH of our 3 boys being left behind. We pray that there are no emergencies or unexpected events while we are away.

*For the safety and health of everyone watching over our boys.

*For at least one family to be touched by our story and be led down the path of adoption, so that we can have one less orphan in the world!

*For safe travels to China, around China, and back home to Louisville

WOW- a much needed update!

It has been so long since I have updated my blog. Life has been crazy busy, but really good! Here is a run-down of everyone:

Rick just got a new job within GE. He is really excited about it. We are amazed at how God has taken care of us financially through this adoption, his promotion was just one more sign of how things happen at the perfect time!

Sarah: I still love teaching! My class is great. We are in a great routine during the day and I am so happy that all my boys are content and adjusted to their schedules. I am a little overwhelmed right now- I have a lot to take care of both at home and work before I leave for China, but it will all get done!

Andrew: He still loves Kindergarten. He has a stomach bug right now and has been home for the last 2 days. Poor little guy!

Matthew: Matthew loves school now and seems to be genuinely happy. He is sleeping better at night (this week) and is much happier in the morning when he wakes up. He is so funny, gotta love Matthew.

Timmy: Timmy continues to be a sweet little boy. He finally crawls on all 4's.... and we are no where close to walking! Matthew was running when he was Timmy's age :) Timmy loves to eat, loves his mommy and daddy and almost always has a smile on his face! He loves to sneak away to the stairs and look back to see who is going to grab him. Then he smiles really big and shakes his head "no." Funny boy.

Enjoy all the pictures!

He loves to climb the stairs

My boys are always hanging things from the mantle.. I thought this was so funny. By the way, Matthew still prefers to be as naked as possible.

Poor Timmy, he takes quite a bit from his brothers!

Andrew pulls Timmy across the carpet and Timmy thinks it is SO FUNNY. He giggles and giggles, but the problem is.....

he ends up with a rug burn on his forehead. oops!
Matthew was upstairs using the bathroom- went I came up to check on him, this is what I found. This boy is such a nut! He was washing his hands, I guess pulling up his pants was not that important!

Timmy could NOT figure out how to get the hood off his head!

He was so proud of himself for climbing in the fire truck bed all by himself. We also discovered that he can climb (fall) into the bath tub if left unattended. Thankfully, there was no water in there!

My big boys

Andrew got the responsibility award at school. He was nervous, but he did a great job walking across the gym in front of a packed crowd. Way to go, Andrew!
Brotherly love- Andrew loves "teaching" Matthew things.

I love baby feet

Timmy is roughed up quite frequently by his brothers. I think it is good for him, but sometimes they get a little TOO rough!

I am so in love with this little boy. He is so sweet. He is not at all like my other boys, he is much more calm. I just love that little face... melts my heart!

We're Going to China!

We have known about this for awhile, but I have been so busy I have not updated our blog. On Thursday, September 16, we received the most WONDERFUL phone call! Our agency had received our final travel approval- we are allowed to travel and pick up our little Emma Grace! I was so excited that I could not focus on anything else for the rest of the day. I still get chills when I read the travel approval... adopting a child is an amazing journey that you really can't understand until you do it. It is amazing.

Sara sent me this picture of Emma Grace sleeping. So sweet- I just know she is dreaming about her mommy :)

Another picture from Sara (we can't wait to meet Sara, she has been so good to us!)
Could Emma be any cuter?

Final Travel Approval....

We leave on October 20 at 6:13 am. I am certain I won't be able to sleep the night before. We arrive in Beijing on the 21st around 1:50 p.m.

Emma Grace will be in our arms on October 23, can't wait.
