This video is cute! Unfortunately, my battery died in the middle of it so I didn't get the grand finale!!!! But, it is still cute and worth posting on here. Watch Matthew, he dances the whole time-- it is so funny!

More random stuff....
This is Andrew's latest artwork creation... does anyone else think this is as good as I do? He is only 3-- actually, for all I know, maybe all 3 year olds draw like this!
I had to run upstairs to get something and when I came down, Andrew and Matthew were sitting in the chair together playing Thomas on the computer. Matthew wants to do everything his big brother does-- it cracks me up! I don't know if he climbed up there himself to see what was going on or if Andrew helped pull him up-- either way, it sure is cute!Monday, August 18, 2008
First Day=Success
Andrew had a FANTASTIC first day of school!!!!! He got to meet his teachers last week when they came out to the house to play with him. We took him to the open house on Thursday night and we talked to him about his room and practiced dropping him off. His teacher made him a book with pictures that showed what he would be doing during his school day-- and we TALKED, TALKED, TALKED about school every chance we could get. I think all of this helped because there were no tears when I dropped him off and he was smiling when I picked him up with a big thumbs up from his teacher. His paper from today said "no tears, lots of smiling and a great first day of school!" I asked him if he wants to go back tomorrow and he said "yes!" Here are some pictures of my big boy with his backpack on his first day of school!

Funny Story- No pics!
This evening we were getting ready to eat dinner and I realized that Andrew had not gone to the bathroom since this morning when he woke up. That is really not that unusual, because he only pees a few times a day. But, I asked him if he had to go and he said "No, I already go when I play choo-choo." This afternoon I feel asleep and Rick was downstairs with Matthew while Andrew played upstairs by himself with his trains-- Rick asked him if he took himself to the bathroom while he was playing and Andrew said "yes." Well, he has a hard time getting his pants down and up by himself, and everything looked like it was on straight, so we didn't really believe him. We basically just dropped it as this point.
Well, it was bath time.... and Matthew goes running into the bathroom and slips and falls. Turns out, there is a big puddle of pee on the floor. I said "what is that?" And Andrew's response was "I go pee pee" I am guessing he had such a hard time getting his pants down by himself, that he started peeing on the floor by accident. He noticed that he was peeing on the floor, then finished up in the potty (there was pee in the potty too) Then, there was a big wad of damp toilet paper wadded up on the toilet paper roll. So, everything is all a mystery. We have no idea why there is pee all over the floor, when all of this really happened, and what in the heck Andrew did with the toilet paper. Did he try to clean up the pee on the floor? He likes to unroll the toilet paper and roll it back up, so maybe he was doing that and then realized he was peeing all over the floor?????? The world may never know! I guess the moral of the story is don't leave your 3 year old unattended. We had a good laugh about this during bath time, but we were also quick to tell him "good job" for taking the responsibility in going to the potty by himself!!!!!! (but next time, tell mommy or daddy when you have to go!)

Smile!
When we tell Matthew to smile, this is the look we get :) I will try to load the video-- but I don't know if it will work. It has Matthew smiling and Andrew doing his ABC's. He has come a long way since April! We still have work to do, but hey... I'll take this over where we were!

Here are the boys watching TV together. Trust me-- they don't always get along this well. Actually, they pretty much never get along this well!
