This evening we were getting ready to eat dinner and I realized that Andrew had not gone to the bathroom since this morning when he woke up. That is really not that unusual, because he only pees a few times a day. But, I asked him if he had to go and he said "No, I already go when I play choo-choo." This afternoon I feel asleep and Rick was downstairs with Matthew while Andrew played upstairs by himself with his trains-- Rick asked him if he took himself to the bathroom while he was playing and Andrew said "yes." Well, he has a hard time getting his pants down and up by himself, and everything looked like it was on straight, so we didn't really believe him. We basically just dropped it as this point.
Well, it was bath time.... and Matthew goes running into the bathroom and slips and falls. Turns out, there is a big puddle of pee on the floor. I said "what is that?" And Andrew's response was "I go pee pee" I am guessing he had such a hard time getting his pants down by himself, that he started peeing on the floor by accident. He noticed that he was peeing on the floor, then finished up in the potty (there was pee in the potty too) Then, there was a big wad of damp toilet paper wadded up on the toilet paper roll. So, everything is all a mystery. We have no idea why there is pee all over the floor, when all of this really happened, and what in the heck Andrew did with the toilet paper. Did he try to clean up the pee on the floor? He likes to unroll the toilet paper and roll it back up, so maybe he was doing that and then realized he was peeing all over the floor?????? The world may never know! I guess the moral of the story is don't leave your 3 year old unattended. We had a good laugh about this during bath time, but we were also quick to tell him "good job" for taking the responsibility in going to the potty by himself!!!!!! (but next time, tell mommy or daddy when you have to go!)
