First Day=Success

Andrew had a FANTASTIC first day of school!!!!! He got to meet his teachers last week when they came out to the house to play with him. We took him to the open house on Thursday night and we talked to him about his room and practiced dropping him off. His teacher made him a book with pictures that showed what he would be doing during his school day-- and we TALKED, TALKED, TALKED about school every chance we could get. I think all of this helped because there were no tears when I dropped him off and he was smiling when I picked him up with a big thumbs up from his teacher. His paper from today said "no tears, lots of smiling and a great first day of school!" I asked him if he wants to go back tomorrow and he said "yes!"
