I put a ton of pictures on this update-- sorry! Last weekend we went to a water park in Cincy with Rick's sister and her family. It was a lot of fun! Both of the boys had fun playing in the water and Andrew didn't want to leave when it was time to go home. Things around here are the same as always!!!! Matthew is as happy as ever, Andrew still loves to play the computer, play outside and watch Go, Diego, Go!!!! He starts school in 6 weeks and I am excited. I think he is going to love it and it will bring about many great changes for him!!!! I forgot to mention on Matthew's 1 year update that he weighed 29 pounds and was 32 inches. He is in the 95th percentile for height and just over 95th percentile for weight. I was surprised, he actually lost a few ounces from the last time he was there! I guess this is when he starts to slim down :) Anyways, here are the pictures.

Matthew was chasing me around the house. He is always so happy and excited!!!
This is so cute! Whenever we are in the bathroom, whethere I am trying to go or I am taking Andrew, he always comes and opens the door to play peek-a-boo. I finally decided to just sit in there with the camera so I could get a picture of how stinkin' cute he looks when he does this!!!!

Well, this is the difference between grandmothers and mothers. I would NEVER give my 1 year old an ice cream cone in the backseat by himself, but I guess my mom felt like it would be OK. She took them to get ice cream the other day. It is one of Matthew's favorite foods, as you can tell by the smile on his face!!!!

I love the look on Andrew's face!!!! He gets ice cream in the backseat all the time, I guess my mom felt like she needed to be fair to Matthew!

As usual, my pictures are out of order. A picture of the park is at the very bottom. This is just one of the many things they had to play in.

Zoo Pictures

I took the boys to the zoo the other day and we had a good time! There is a little splash park in the zoo and I let them run around for a little bit.

Birthday Pictures

We went to get Matthew's first birthday pictures this morning. They turned out great! He actually smiled and had a good time!

One of the few times he stood in the same spot-- he was busy running around. The photographers have to be really fast!!!!

Happy Birthday to Matthew!!!

My little boy turned one today. It was such a fast year, but a great one! I couldn't have asked for an easier, happier kid!!!! Here are some pictures of the birthday boy!

I tied this balloon to his diaper and let him play outside. He was so darn cute :)
This picture is totally out of order-- since we did the whole birthday cake thing on Saturday, I just stuck a candle in a cookie for him today. We sang happy birthday and Matthew actually ate the cookie (scroll down for that picture!) :)

Birthday Party

We had Matthew's first birthday party on Saturday. Here are a few pictures from that. I will put his birthday picture on here tomorrow and his 1 year pics as soon as I get them done. The pictures on here are totally out of order, but I don't feel like fixing it right now :)

I had high hopes that this kid would eat the first birthday cake-- Nope! Didn't want to eat it and didn't like the mess on his hand either!!!!

Matthew

We have almost reached Matthew's first birthday! On June 11 he will turn one. This has definitely been the fastest year of my life. Matthew is now finished with formula and completely on milk. He is down to just 2 bottles a day, one in the morning and one at night. The rest of the time he drinks from a sippee cup. Those bottles will be disappearing shortly! Crazy to think that at this age I was just getting Andrew on the bottle from nursing. This way is much better!!!!! He is eating great although he does not care for vegetables much, just like his brother and father. I couldn't shove broccoli in his mouth tonight to save my life! But, I did find out today that he loves grilled cheese sandwiches! He walks everywhere now and loves to try and do whatever his brother does. He started playing basketball this week and it is really cute! Matthew definitely takes a lot of bullying from his brother. I can't tell you how many times a day Andrew gets him in a head lock, steam rolls him, sits on him, knocks him down... you name it! When he gets in trouble he says, "What? We just playing!" Today was great-- Matthew was going after a puzzle that Andrew was playing with. Andrew put out his arm to knock him down and Matthew reached up and bit him!!!! Andrew started crying so loud. Out loud I said "No bite, Matthew!" but in my head I said, "Yippee! He finally got him back!" A house with two boys is definitely very active!!!!! I can't even begin to imagine how insane this place will be if we happen to have 3 boys--that is such a scary thought! Here are a few pictures of Matthew. He is turning into such a little boy...no more baby!

Here he is playing outside. What does he like to do out there? Walk straight to the street...imagine that!!!!! Funny how he looks so innocent in this picture. The shoes he is wearing in this picture are from Andrew--last spring! Andrew was 2 when he wore them, Matthew is almost one. Oh, my! Here he is playing basketball. He will definitely have the height to play basketball if he wants. He will also have the weight to play football.... we'll see what his future holds! There is one thing for sure-- Matthew is going to be a big, tough boy!

Matthew got a new ball pit for his birthday from his grandparents. Andrew got one for his first birthday and 2 years of wear and tear was all it could take. I don't think this one will make it two years with these wild boys!!!! Even Matthew likes to knock it over so all the balls fall out!
