Timothy- 22 weeks

Timothy is 22 weeks old today. He is a chunky monkey, but still not as chunky as the other boys! He loves to eat, is rolling like a champ.... but still a lazy boy! He would much rather sit in his chair than play on the floor. Here are some pictures of him!

This picture is from the other day.... he sits in his chair with his feet in the air so he can play with them and kick his toys. It is really cute!

The top view, playing with his feet

This is his 22 week picture, he doesn't miss too many meals!

Love Without Boundaries- Julia

Back in January we told you about a little girl we are sponsoring, Julia from the Anhui Province. We got an update on her today, look how wonderful she is doing! She is over her illnesses that landed her a few trips to the hospital and she is recovering from her heart surgery. Isn't she adorable? I am so happy that we have had a hand in her healing and care! I CAN'T WAIT for this little girl to be adopted and to find her forever family! Here is the update we got from LWB:

I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress Julia has made in the past few months. After a difficult heart surgery and two bouts of severe pneumonia, she has really made a comeback! Julia is now moving freely about the unit in her walker and came up with her own game to play with Cindy: Cindy would push her walker into a corner of the room, and then Julia would scoot back over to catch up to Cindy with a big, hearty laugh. She is very sociable, and her nanny absolutely adores her!

Andrew's soccer trophy

Matthew... and the storm

Matthew loves shirts- especially really cool ones with dinosaurs or super heros. He loves shoes.... but the pants, not so much. Every morning when we get dressed he says "I don't need my pants!"

Check out the hail from the storm we had last week. It sounded like a train was going through our house when the storm hit. My kids were freaking out- screaming and shaking. Matthew wouldn't open his eyes- don't think my children would handle a natural disaster all that well!

A little bit of everything...

It has been awhile since I have posted here. Here is an update of everything:

Andrew is finishing up soccer, he has two more games this week and then it is over. Baseball started last week, so we now practice for that 2 times a week. He still loves school, he loves baseball, and loves playing soccer. I think he enjoys the structure of everything. He will be one of those kids that is in everything and has practice every night of the week. That is fine with me, because the more he does, the less time he has to get in trouble! I registered him for Kindergarten this week. It was bittersweet. I can't say these 5 years have gone by all that fast, I feel like I have aged in dog years. But, it is sad to think those innocent days are over. No more protecting him and sheltering him. He is going to be let loose into the public school system, where he will surely get made fun of for some reason or another and be influence by children with stupid parents that let them do whatever they want. This will be the year that we really need to watch the friendships that he makes, because he will be with MOST of these kids until graduating high school. The joys of living in Oldham County! Now he will realize that it isn't all that cool to hug and kiss your mom before school and I am sure in a few years he will hate me because I won't let him do something ridiculous. That is the stuff that makes me sad. BUT, I am happy because I know he is ready for it. He loves school, he loves to learn and he is so darn smart. I love that we are over the diaper days, the terrible 2 tantrum days, the not eating days, all those days of worry when he couldn't talk, the hours and hours of screaming because he didn't want to go to bed. All of that is behind us now, and we have this little boy who is capable of making really good choices, following directions, being a good friend and learning. I am excited to see how he takes on this next chapter of his life.

Matthew is still my little heart breaker. I have such a soft spot for that kid. He tells me all the time that I am "cute" and that we are "best friends." When I am making my hair bows, he says "I like your pretty bows." He is so darn sweet I can hardly stand it. He has stumbled upon some sleeping issues. He wakes up screaming at night like he is dying. When I go in there, he is crying and saying "I want to go in your bed." So, I normally let him, then he is up at 6 in the morning ready to start his day. I am hoping this is just a phase, because I already have a baby that doesn't like to sleep all that much right now. I have been tired these last few weeks! Matthew also loves to learn, but unfortunately his brother interferes when he is trying to do something. Poor second kid. Matthew loves to read, is learning to write his name, he knows all of his letters (uppercase) and is learning his lower case letters. He is a champ at the "eye spy" books, and he has several of his favorite books memorized and he reads them to me. He is getting ready to start T-ball at the YMCA with his best friend, Jacob. Matthew has been such an easy kid to raise... I can't believe he is going to be 3 in a few months!

Timothy is just about 5 months. He slept better the first 8 weeks of his life then he does now. He wakes up about twice wanting the bottle. It is wearing me out! He didn't wake up that much as a newborn, I definitely got spoiled. He started food just about a month ago and there is no going back. He loves to eat. He loves squash, sweet potatoes and carrots but I can't find a fruit he likes. I think that is weird! Timothy smiles ALL THE TIME. He rarely cries, only if he is hungry or tired. He is starting to get attached to his blanket, he pulls it up around his face when he goes to bed and holds on to it while he sleeps. He started rolling last week, but he doesn't prefer to be on his belly. Matthew was army crawling at 6 months, and there is no way that Timmy will be there. Overall, Timothy is just a laid back, some might say lazy, happy boy. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry to do anything! He doesn't get that trait from me!

As for Emma Grace, we are still waiting. It could be any day now and I would be lying if I said I didn't think about it ALL THE TIME. I just wonder where she will be from, what she will look like, how she will fit into our family. I can't wait to meet her. We are still fundraising with tutus and hair bows and we are having so much success with it. We were presented with ANOTHER fundraising opportunity last week. We applied for a grant through Lifesong for orphans, a non-profit organization committed to helping orphans around the world. We were approved for a $4,000 matching grant!!!!! So, any money that is donated on our behalf is matched dollar for dollar. The donor gets a tax incentive. It is really a wonderful opportunity. So, this is just another way for us to raise more money for our adoption. It is amazing how things like this present themselves- just confirmation that Emma is supposed to be in our family and that God will provide a way for us to financially bring her home.

I am still planning on going back to work, if I can find a job. It seems like a good time for our family to transition, withe Andrew starting Kindergarten and Matthew starting preschool. The only reason why I will not go back to work is if Emma comes this year, but I don't think that will happen. We travel 6-8 months after we are matched with her, so my hope is that we are matched later this year and travel late spring. That way my school year will not be an issue.

Well, that is it! A very exciting run-down of the Fischer household. Here are a few pictures.
