Baseball

Andrew started playing T-ball and just loves it. He loves to wear his baseball helmet and rarely wants to take it off.... he even wore it to Home Depot today because he just can't part with it! Here are a few pictures of the boys playing in the backyard together. (Ignore the awful looking grass... we are working on that!)

This was a rare moment that Andrew wanted to share his hat with Matthew. Matthew hit the ball (see the picture below..) and then Andrew taught him how to run the bases. Andrew kept telling Matthew "be sure to touch every base when you run!"
We are starting early with Matthew... he did pretty good for not quite 2!
Andrew hits the ball so hard and so fast I couldn't get a good picture. He just loves to play so much! He either calls me "coach mommy" or "baseball player mommy." We are working on dropping the bat as fast as possible and then running to first. He likes to admire how far he hit the ball before he runs!

A little bit of everything...

This post is nothing special.... just a few pictures over the last week!

The boys playing with best buddy, Lucy.
Me with my little super hero
I guess St. Patrick's day was a little much for Andrew... he fell asleep just like this in the chair outside!
Matthew is one cool dude
This is why I cannot unload the dishwasher with Matthew in the room.... he literally unloads it by taking it all apart. Drives me nuts!

Andrew's Art Show

Andrew's preschool put on an art show that displayed the work from all of the preschoolers. Andrew had fun showing off all of his masterpieces!

Here is Andrew with 2 of his 3 teachers.... Mrs. Otte and Ms. Michelle
Here is a class painting. The teachers said they covered the kids in smocks and got out of the way. I think it turned out very nice!
Andrew's dot painting, he called it a building.

This is Andrew's flower

On Fridays, Cate comes to our house to play for a little bit. I got some dolls out for her, and I didn't know they would be such a big hit for my boys! (Rick will be so proud!) I know they were just interested in them because Cate wanted them and because they were new... but it was still pretty funny! Andrew treated this doll like a true baby. He tells me all the time that he wants a sister.

Andrew took the doll, wrapped it in a blanket, put it on his shoulder and said "It's Ok" while he patted the doll's back. I had no idea he could be that sweet!
He held the doll so Cate could feed it...
Here they are, all interested in this doll. I must say that the doll was short lived...she is already back in storage waiting for next Friday when Cate comes back. I guess dolls really aren't as cool as trains and dump trucks after all.
This is a little random, but this is when Matthew sucked up the magna doodle in my sweeper. He is so proud!

Zoo Pictures

We went to the Louisville Zoo on Friday with Kathy (Rick's mom). It wasn't as warm as it was supposed to be, but it was still pretty nice. It is hard to get a picture of the boys because they run from place to place (as Kathy got to witness!) but here are a few quick shots I got. We had some tired boys when we got home, but they had tons of fun!

This is how my boys measure up to the gorilla....

Look how close Drew got to the gorilla! This was the first time Matthew could be in the same room as the gorilla and not cry!
We always have to ride the train at the zoo, but now a new favorite is the carousel. Here is Drew on his pick for the ride.
Matthew is all smiles on his horse that went up and down!
