Funny things...

Andrew has been saying some interesting things lately! Since this is a type of journal for our family, I thought I would post them on here!

The other day Andrew told me that he wants to be 19. I found this a bit shocking, because normally he just wants to be 8. I told him that when he is 19 he can't live with mommy and daddy anymore. I told him he could live with a friend when he is 19 and he said, "I want to live with Lucy!" So sweet.

Today Andrew asked me if we lived on earth. I of course told him "yes." This was followed by a thousand questions.... why do we live on earth? Do Grandma and Grandpa and Mamaw and Papaw live on earth? And then, the question that really shocked me "Why does the earth spin" Seriously, he is only 3........ where does he come up with this stuff??????? I asked him if he learned that in school and he said "you taught me that mommy" I know for a fact I have never talked to him about earth. So strange! I wish I knew what went on inside that little head of his!

As for Matthew..... he has been a bit naughty lately! I think he is entering these 2's a little early. First of all, he is talking quite a bit and saying all types of words. Whenever he has "one more" left of something (cracker, puzzle piece, whatever...) he will say " one muh". I thought that was interesting that he can make that connection. He also says "I do" "I win" "My turn" and he says "Hi" to everything. "Hi momma, hi dadda, hi bubba (that is brother).... you get the point. I started working out at the YMCA and Matthew goes to the kid room. Well, he hates it and it has gotten worse every time we have tried to go. Most recently, he started screaming "home" over and over again when we walked in the building. He was screaming so bad they had to come get me out of my class because he wouldn't calm down. He is also starting to resist his crib a little bit. I think it might be time for a big boy bed.... when I take him up to go to bed he says "stairs" (say the "r" with a country boy accent, that is how he does it!) because he wants to go back downstairs. And my favorite.... he will not let me feed him anything. I can't even sit in front of him when he eats. He just pushes me away and says "no". Like I said.... we are entering those two's!!!!

We are currently working on colors, but I still think he just isn't ready. However, he can identify many trains by name (all the Thomas characters), he loves to do his matching puzzles, and he can identify a hammer, screw driver, tape measure, wrench and pliers. He loves to find goldbug in his book (he is very good!) and he also loves the eye spy books.... we do them over and over again! As for colors, not so good unless it is blue. Thank god it isn't red.... that would be a bad sign :)

Despite the sometimes naughty behavior, he is still as sweet and cute as can be and definitely keeps us laughing by doing everything Andrew does and acting like a complete wild man!!!!!

Hey, I hear you about the early
"2's"! How does this happen?!? And, if you have any breakthroughs moving out of the crib...let us know! (Charlie will not have any of his toddler bed when it is bed time!)
