Biter Biscuits

Boy oh boy does this baby love his biter biscuits!!!!

River Bats Game

On Father's Day, Andrew's baseball team had the opportunity to go out on the field with the BATS baseball players and stand next to them on the bases during the National Anthem. Andrew thought it was awesome! Matthew got to go out on the field, too. Andrew was a good big brother and held his hand running out there and running back. We took our dads with us, so the whole family was there! It was hot, but the boys had a good time. Here are a few pictures.

The Trophy- Finally!

Andrew was added a little late to the T-ball roster, and therefore a trophy was not ordered for him and he did not get one at his last game. Let's just say it was nothing short of a disaster! He had been looking forward to that trophy FOREVER. Every game he would say "4 games until my trophy..... 3 more games until my trophy..." He had the countdown going for quite some time! He was so upset at the last game that he wasn't getting one that he cried just about the whole time. He pulled it together long enough to hit the ball, run the bases and play outfield, but he was visibly upset the whole time. Every time he came into the dugout, he broke down in tears. It was a horrible night and I was so sad that this was the way his wonderful season had to end! The coach gave him the game ball to make up for the trophy, and as you can see, Andrew was upset. We ended up picking up his trophy a few days later, so all is well in Andrew's world again. From now on, if we are added late to a roster I will call and make sure that we have a trophy ordered for Andrew!!!!! Here are some pictures from his last game.

crawling

Timothy has turned into quite the busy boy! He has mastered the army crawl so well, that I don't know if he will ever get up on all 4's. He is so fast, and into EVERYTHING! Today I put him down in the kitchen to make his bottle and he crawled straight to the dog water bowl. I have to be careful upstairs when I get the boys ready because he heads straight to the stairs. He can get anywhere he wants to go and many times gets himself into some interesting things! He had tubes put in his ears just over a week ago and I think it was the right decision for him. He is sleeping through the night (although still cat napping during the day...) and is overall more pleasant acting. He rarely pulls at his ears and before tubes, he was a cranky mess and always pulling at them. He has one tooth up top, one on the bottom and he is working on the other two. Both his teeth on the right side are in, so I guess both of the left side teeth will come in together too. He is still not crazy about anyone holding him but mommy. He gets up about 6:45 everyday and he takes about 3 forty minute naps. I am sooooo ready for 7:00 bedtime it isn't even funny! He loves to eat- I mean really LOVES it. If the boys eat a cookie near him, he practically attacks them to get his hands on it. He loves all his baby foods and is into the gerber biter biscuits and crackers also. Of course, he loves the occasional bite of a popsicle, too! He is a pretty happy boy these days, which makes for a happy mama. He is still just babbling "da-da" and he also makes a weird growling sound all the time that I like to call his lion sound. Here is a video of him crawling for a hammer. My boys have always been very "boy!" Timmy is 8 months old and prefers this hammer to anything else that we have!

I guess I should mention that we tried to switch Timmy to regular formula with no luck. He started spitting really bad again and getting cranky. His reflux starting acting up really bad and we have had no issues with it for a long time. So, we switched him back to the world's most expensive formula and I guess we are going to stick with it until he is one. I am really worried he will not be able to drink milk when he turns one, and I have no idea what I will put him on. I guess I have 4 months to figure it out! On a side note, Andrew ate mac and cheese the other night (not a lot, and there was not a lot of milk in it...) and he did fine! So, a few nights later I tried to give him hamburger helper which had a significant amount of milk in it (2 cups worth.) The poor kid got so sick and was hanging over the toilet trying to throw up. It was heart breaking. So, we won't be trying anymore milk products with him for awhile! My poor children and their issues with milk!

Matthew's First Wee Ball Game

Matthew started playing wee ball at the YMCA. It is like most Y sports- a little unorganized but I guess it is a good intro to the sport for him. He likes to hit and run the bases, but he isn't really into fielding, as you can see from the picture where he is sitting down, picking grass and filling his hat. All the parents stood in line with their kids to bat, all the parents stood in the field with their kids... it was a little ridiculous if you ask me. I think parents should sit on the side and let the coaches run the show. It teaches kids to listen to the team and to a coach. This will be the only year we do t-ball here, and then we are moving him to little league. They really do such a better job at teaching them how to play the actual sport! Anyways, it was cute to see him out there- enjoy the pictures!
